Eelke Jelles Eelkema, 1815 - 1839

Bouquet with roses, tulips, daffodils, irises, sweet williams and cuckoo flowers. Among the flowers also some butterflies.

Elke Jelles Eelkema is a Dutch artist who traveled and worked throughout Europe, despite his deafness, he taught and translated, worked in a flower shop, and painted until he lost his sight.

The still life is stored in the Rijksmuseum, in Amsterdam.
